Welcome to my own little plot of internet space. I am so glad you found your way here, and hope that wherever you are, you are viewing the pages of my website while feeling the kicks and tumbles of the life that grows within you. If it's your first time here, I'm Maggie. I'm a photographer specializing in the art of birth photography, serving the southern metro Atlanta area. My journey to becoming a birth photographer begins with my parents journey to becoming a family.
My parents have been married for almost 40 years. Their story reads of a typical, everyday love. They met while working in the same office and were friends for several years before falling in love. My dad popped the question in his car in a movie theatre parking lot, and they married in the church where my dad grew up. And like most couples, they never worried about infertility or the struggles that starting a family can bring, but what they soon realized was that their season of waiting was not over. They tried to begin a family for close to 10 years, until the doctors eventually told my mama her chances of having a baby were one in a million. But by God's undeserved grace and goodness, my parents were blessed with two daughters to call their very own. My older sister, Jessi, was adopted a year after they received that news, and four years after Jessi was born, my mom found out she was pregnant with me.
My passion for telling birth stories begins here, with all the mamas who have waited for their turn to finally come. I'm a photographer for the legacy driven couple, who desires to remember their journey into parenthood. The women I have the pleasure of serving are looking for a deeper, more purposeful birth experience. They value the art of storytelling through photography, and are looking for a tangible keepsake that will tell the story of their birth in a modest, authentic, and heartwarming manner. If this sounds like the experience you've been looking for, I would love to sit down with you and talk further about how I can serve you and your family.
